Ingredients
  • 2 cups almond milk (can sub for cashew or oat)
  • 1/2 cup light coconut milk (for creamier version use full-fat coconut milk, for super creamy version use equal parts coconut milk and coconut cream)
  • 4 Medjool dates
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of cloves
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 4 ounces of alcohol (use one of the following: Brandy, a mix of equal parts of rum and Cognac, or bourbon for boozier version)
Instructions
  1. Remove peats from Medjool dates and soak them in hot water for 5 minutes.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender and blend for at least 30 seconds until all dates are well combined.
  3. Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 5 days.
