Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats not instant
  • 3.5 cups filtered cold/room temp water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pitted medjool date
  • Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender. If you have a high-speed blender such as Blentec or Vitamix, then blend for 30 seconds. If you’re using a regular blender, blend for 60 seconds.
  2. Using a mesh strainer, strain the mixture twice.
  3. Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up 5 days.
Recipe Notes

Note: 1. Do not over blend the oats. The result may be slimy. 2. There’s no need to use a coffee filter, paper towel, or milk bag to strain the mixture. The good old mesh strainer works great. 3. Use oat milk in coffee, with cereal, or smoothies. 4. Mix with cocoa powder to make a chocolate milk or with cinnamon for a spiced version.
