Looking for healthy vegan party food? Try these crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Wings! They are oven-baked to perfection and slathered with homemade vegan buffalo sauce.

Party food? Weekend food? Maybe an appetizer on a Friday?

Either way, Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are always great! Perfectly crispy on outside. Smooth and tender on the inside. Slathered with hot and spicy classic vegan buffalo sauce. Dipped in creamy and tangy vegan ranch.

Are you drooling yet?

Seriously though – these Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are to die for!

It’s a relatively easy recipe to make. Most of the time is taken by the cauli baking in the oven…which kind of counts as passive cooking so to speak.

Some fun facts about cauli:

  • It’s said to have originated in Cyprus.
  • The origin of its name is from Latin: caulis meaning cabbage  (I guess we could call it a “cabbage flower”!).
  • There’re 80 varieties in North America alone!
  • Cauli is colorful: the traditional white, green, orange and purple.
  • The leaves are also edible although not commonly eaten (I should definitely experiment with this).
  • There’s even a 3D printed cauli-based pizza dough! #cauliflowerinnovation

Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are perfect as a party finger food. The first time I made them was for the Sunday Football and it was a hit! It’s also a good choice to take to a party if you’re asked to bring something.

Cauli has a relatively mild taste and it absorbs the flavor of sauces or spiced that you add to it. That’s why cauliflower is so versatile and that is the reason why so many vegan dishes use it as a base.

If you don’t like the taste of cauliflower on its own, I highly recommend you try it roasted, like in this recipe. Boiling or steaming makes cauli mushy.

The vegan buffalo sauce we’ll be making here is also very easy. You can make it while the cauliflower is baking in the oven to increase your efficiency (we’re all about efficiency, right?!).

Let’s get roasting!
