If you’re in search for a delicious recipe where avocado is the main ingredient then you’ve come to the right place. This Creamy Avocado Dressing is just that good! I’m constantly thinking about where else I could include avocado to add that amazing creaminess and a superb taste to my dish.
Here are five fun facts about avocado that I found from around the internet:
- “Avocado is also known as an alligator pear.” – I’ve never heard of it. I guess it kind of makes sense.
- “Botanically, avocado is a large berry that contains a single large seed.” – This makes a little more sense.
- “The oldest avocado pit was discovered in Mexico dating from 10,000 years ago.” – So avo has been popular for 10k years? I feel like I’m so late to the party.
- “The word avocado originated from the ancient Aztec word which was pronounced as awakati. This word was also used to refer to a testicle because of their resemblance.” – No comments here.
- “It’s possible to grow an avocado tree indoors. It may take four to six years to harvest your first avocado.” – I guess I know what my next project is. I’m in it for the long term. #avoforever
Now, let’s go back to why we are on this page. To make some Creamy Avocado Dressing!
I gotta say – this dressing is very good looking. Let’s say you have a bowl of brown rice with some beans and maybe tofu. Looks (and sounds) quite boring. Now, you take this bright green, glowing, almost screaming with freshness dressing and drizzle all over your bowl. And viola! You’ve just transformed your dish to a smoking hot buddha bowl that is almost too good to eat and is, of course, worthy of insta post that doesn’t even need editing. Talk about being effective.

Creamy, delicious, fresh and aesthetically pleasing Avocado Dressing that will leave your friends on insta jealous!
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 cup vegan mayo
- 1 lime
- 1/2 cup fresh arugula or spinach
- 1/2 cup fresh dill
- salt and pepper to taste

Add all ingredients in the blender or food processor and blend until smooth, about 10 seconds.

Store in a glass jar or a container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
