Hemp Pecan Energy Balls (3 Ingredients)

Hemp seed is a magical plant food that is so good for you that it hurts.

I’ve only started consuming hemp seeds recently and I’ve become a big big fan.

First, let’s talk taste. Hemp seeds have a mild and pleasant nutty taste.

Second, texture. Even though hemp is a seed its texture isn’t hard at all. It has a soft bouncy outer texture. It’s a tad bit oily to touch.

Third, nutrition. Hemp seeds are a nutritious powerhouse. They contain 30% fat and have high amounts of omega-3 and omega-6.

They are high in protein. 2-3 tablespoons provide about 11 grams of protein. They are also a good source of vitamin E, magnesium, calcium, iron, and zinc.

Will they get you high? Even though hemp seeds are part of the same species as Cannibis sativa, they do not have the key ingredient to get you high. You are safe 😉

I think hemp seeds are the perfect ingredient to make energy bites. Their nutty flavor and oily/fatty texture helps bind everything together.
