Easy, homemade, Chunky Mango Guacamole recipe that is perfect for a crowd or as a snack!
Who else loves guac over here?! Everyone I know loves guac, there’s just something magical about it! Even people who don’t like to eat avocado on its own, love guac. Strange, isn’t it?
I’ve been making regular guac (the one with tomatoes) for sooo long and I thought it was time to change things up!
Mango is everywhere in the summer in the U.S. and it makes a perfect addition to guac. Juicy and very sweet mango cuts very well through the buttery, rich flavor of avocado. Both compliment each other creating a nice balance of flavor. Yum!
One tip on slicing and dicing the mango. First, determine the tallest line of the mango. Then slice mango on one side avoiding the pit. Then slice on the other side. You should have two big slices of mango.
Now let’s dice the mango. Place the mango slice on a plate or cutting board with the flesh facing up. Using a small paring knife make lengthwise and crosswise cuts in it but try not to cut through the peel. Grab a large spoon and scoop out the flesh out of the skin. You should be left with nicely diced mango pieces.
Chunky Mango Guacamole is perfect as an appetizer for parties, as a snack in between meals, and as an ingredient in Buddha bowls.
I think it would taste amazing if you add it to Tomatillo Nachos, Pinto Bean Sloppy Joes, tacos made with Tempeh Taco Meat, Spinach Tempeh Salad, or Kidney Bean Brown Rice Bowl.

- 1 avocado
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
- 2 tbsp onion chopped
- 1 medium mango
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper

Mash avocado leaving some chunks.

Add garlic, parsley, onion, an mango. Season with salt and pepper. Gently mix all the ingredients. Season with more salt and pepper to taste.
