Overnight Oats is my all-time favorite breakfast. It’s so easy to make. Put some oats, add whatever you have on hand such as nut butter, seeds, or fruits…the options are endless.

I love incorporating fruits that are in season in my overnight oats when I can. During my last trip to the grocery store, I stumbled across some fresh looking organic sweet cherries. I bought a whole bag and, basically, added cherries into every meal I could.

Overnight Oats was the next cherry take-over. Cherry Pie Overnight Oats, that is.

Why not make Overnight Oats taste just like a delicious cherry pie? Dessert for breakfast, you said? I’ll take it.

We will be making our oats creamy and refined sugar-free. A tablespoon of creamy organic almond butter will bind oats with almond milk into a creamy delicious mixture. The natural sweetness of cherries eliminates the need to add a sweetener. Unless you absolutely want to.

Cherries are a very healthy fruit. It aids in digestion, helps with inflammation, controls blood sugar levels and helps inhibit several types of cancer due to its carotenoids content. By having Cherry Pie Overnight Oats for breakfast you are really just inhaling all the goodness there is -;)

If you like meal prepping and saving time, you can triple this recipe and you will have breakfast ready to go for three full days. I mean, who would refuse some pie for breakfast every day?

Who said you can’t have dessert for breakfast? In fact, you can have it every. single. day. Try this decadent Cherry Pie Overnight Oats that is refined sugar-free.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup oats, gluten-free or regular

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (or any seed butter)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free milk (almond, oat, cashew, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup pitted cherries
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients in a glass jar except for cherries.

  2. Let sit in the fridge for at least four hours, preferably overnight.

  3. Top with cherries right before serving. If the mixture is dense, add 1 tbsp of almond milk.
