Looking for a perfect breakfast to warm you up on a chilly day? Apple Pie Oatmeal is the answer. 😊

Apple Pie Oatmeal

By now, you guys know that oatmeal is one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast. I usually make overnight oats during the week because I try to be efficient with meal prepping. It helps me eat healthy and never go hungry. Interested in learning more about Meal Prep? Read my post on 15 Benefits of Meal Prep for Vegans.

Hot oatmeal is really great to make on a cold morning. This recipe only takes 10 minutes to make and requires 7 ingredients.

Apple Pie Oatmeal

Our first ingredient is oats. You can also use GF oats to make this recipe 100% gluten-free. Some of the other ingredients we’ll be adding are almond butter, chia, and flax seeds.

I love adding nut butters in the oatmeal. It helps make it so much more creamy. I’m not just talking about topping your hot oatmeal with nut butter, but actually adding it while the oats are cooking in the pot. Just add a tablespoon and stir to mix well. You won’t regret it, I promise!

The two other ingredients I also love in the oatmeal are chia and flax seeds. You all know these two are the nutritional powerhouse.

Chia seeds are one of the most nutritional foods on the planet. They’re loaded with antioxidants, high in fiber, and high in omega-3. Flax seeds are also high in fiber and omega 3-s. When cooked into oats, both ingredients help bind everything together and make the oatmeal creamy.

We won’t be adding any sugar in our recipe. Instead, we will be adding cinnamon which I find helps eliminate the need for sugar. Many people use cinnamon when they want to add some warming flavor while avoiding sugar.

Also, since we’re adding apples that are naturally sweet, there is no need to add any refined sugar.
