Do you have a big bag of rice and want to make something more than just plain rice?

Look no further! I will show you how to make five, delicious, easy recipes to add variety to your rice game. All you need is simple pantry and freezer ingredients.

The best part of these recipes is that you make one big batch of your favorite rice and then add mix-in ingredients to create different flavors. Let’s get to it.

Step 1: Cook one big batch of rice

First step is to cook your rice of choice. I decided to go with Jasmin Long Grain rice, but you can choose any rice you want such as Basmati, brown, or short grain varieties.

Directions to cook rice will vary slightly depending on the type of rice, so it’s best to read the instructions on packaging.

For white, long-grain rice, such as Jasmine or Basmati, use 2:1 ratio of water to rice. First bring water to a boil, add rice, then add (optional) salt and oil of choice, cover and let steam for 25 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
